The official Rota Hall IRC channel is #rotahall on synIRC (irc.synirc.net).
If you don’t have an IRC client, or don’t even know what IRC is, you can use our Java applet to connect:
(If this is your first time connecting, you obviously won’t have a NickServ password, so just leave that field blank. If you don’t trust us not to steal your password, leave it blank as well, but remember to identify once you’re connected.
If you aren’t sure what NickServ is or why you should register with it, ask the people in #rotahall.)
Of course, the thing most of you are here for would be the blogs. Here they are, in the order in which they were created.
-
Rosio Pavoris
Cairnarvon’s blog, and easily the most popular blog we host. Cairnarvon posts about a variety of things, including science, politics, religion, and, of course, Rota Hall.
-
The Blog of Discoverers
Coren’s blog. He mostly posts about videogames and himself.
-
Transcendent Mediocrity
Terras’ blog, and the Web-2.0-est blog we host. Terru writes about EVERYTHING.
-
Qow
Qow’s blog’s name is quite zen. He doesn’t post at all, unless he feels that something probably can be said.
-
এদত ইো
Malicite’s blog was better when it was still called Sol Fa.
-
Peccata Mundi
Mai’s blog isn’t nearly as active as it should be.
-
It’s a luscious mix of words and tricks
Who the hell is rednwhite?
-
Saythings
Anythings.
-
Quhan’s blog
Quhan’s blog is unimaginatively named.
-
Absurd Cultism
Livia has a blog she doesn’t use.
Thus the Seer,
With vision clear,
Sees forms appear and disappear,
In the perpetual round of strange,
Mysterious change
From birth to death, from death to birth,
From earth to heaven, from heaven to earth;
Till glimpses more sublime
Of things, unseen before,
Unto his wondering eyes reveal
The Universe, as an immeasurable wheel
Turning forevermore
In the rapid and rushing river of Time.
—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Rain in Summer”
Welcome to Rotahall.org!
Rota Hall started simply as a place to host forums for a small community of friends, but has since grown to be much more.
The Projects page keeps track of the various projects of our members, though most of the activity on Rota Hall happens on the blogs.
If you’d like to talk to us, the Chat page will help you.
And if you’re just interested in what’s been happening with Rota Hall itself, our News page is what you’re after.
